The member representing Yagba in the Kogi state House of Assembly, Hon. Jimoh Omitata is dead.
A family member confirmed his demise. He said the state lawmaker died in Lagos from an undisclosed ailment he has been battling for a while.
Omiata hails from the Igbagun community in Yagba local government of Kogi state. He was a two-term member of the state House of Assembly, and the first person to ever win election twice to the house from the council area.
According to the chief press secretary of the state House of assembly. Speaker Femi Olugbemi as well confirmed his death and release in his statement;
“Very sad, we lost a vibrant, articulate, and outstanding lawmaker, Hon. Musa Jimoh Omiata, I sympathize with his immediate family, traditional rulers, and people of Yagba East State Constituency, may Allah grant his soul perfect rest.”
