817 candidates to re~ register for UTME – statement uttered by JAMB registrar .

The joint admission and matriculation Board (JAMB) registrar said in his statement,817 candidates’ registration is cancelled due to biometric infractions in the fingerprint capture process.

Prof. Isaq Oloyede made it known during his address to the public that” allowing a registration officer or any other individual to aid candidate with his or her finger capturing using theirs can bring about impersonation in the exam.

However, according to the jamb boss from the statement released, candidates from the affected 178 Computer Based Test (CBT) will be given another chance to re-register for the exam with the centres bearing the cost.

He proceeded further,  on the part of candidates overcharged for registration, He said “List will be compiled while the overpayment will be paid to Federal competition and consumer protection commission and as well the vendors and institutions.

On the same vein,the registrar Prof. Isaq Oloyede, lift suspension placed on four(4) out of five(5) CBT centres for selling of UTME registration pin above-given price. Due to tendering of their apology and explaining what led to the act, the suspension was lifted.
